Stampin' Up! Color Refresh Means These Colors Are Retiring!

Hey there! I'm back again today to give you the scoop on the Stampin' Up! Color Refresh! Every 5-6 years Stampin' Up! retires an assortment of their core colors, replacing them with returning favorite In-Colors as well as brand-new colors.

The current Color Refresh includes the retirement of 12 "Core Colors": Blushing Bride, Merry Merlot, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, and So Saffron. Joining the retiring colors are also four of the five 2021-2023 In Colors: Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, and Pale Papaya. Fresh Freesia, the fifth 2021/23 In Color, is not retiring, but is joining the Subtles Family of Core Colors.

Every item in both the 2022/23 Annual Catalog, as well as the January/April Mini Catalog containing these colors is retiring, as well as many other stamps, tools, and embellishments.

I explained the challenges I am facing right now with my Stampin' Up! business in yesterday's blog post. I am working diligently to "get my ducks in a row", so to speak, and will be back to a more consistent routine of stamping and sharing soon.

Stampin' Up! Being There for a Friend!

Hey there. There will be no stampy post today. We are still in Atlanta, GA. The Stampin' Up! OnStage Local concluded yesterday afternoon and then we went out for Mexican. A few hours after I went with my friend and downline, Joanne, to the ER. Turns out she is having gallbladder surgery this morning, so please be praying for her. She was in a lot of pain. Hoping and praying for a good recovery.

Her family is here now, so we will be leaving soon to travel home. With being at the ER until after midnight and little sleep, I'm going to table my regularly scheduled Sunday Swap Day post until tomorrow. I hop everyone understands.

I appreciate you guys so much and will be back tomorrow morning.

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Carol

Stampin' Up! On Stage Live in Salt Lake City!

Hey there! I'm in Salt Lake City, UT for Stampin' Up! OnStage Live! Yesterday travel day that started in the wee morning hours so my travel buddy, Joanne Cantrell, and I could get the St. Louis airport. Actually my day started off with a bang, waking up with a start at 4:30 to discover we had no power! Scared that I had overslept, I fumbled for a cellphone check the time. I laid back down for a few minutes and thankfully the power came back on. I was beginning to wonder if I wasn't meant to make this trip, but after leaving at 6 a.m., my husband texted me a few minutes later that the power went back down right after I left! So here we are!

Stampin_up_OnStageLive_Riverton_carolpaynestamps

Yesterday we toured the Stampin' Up! Home Office and Distribution Center. I have visited here before, but Joanne had not.The building is beautiful, with a waterfall in the front atrium, which you can see the trees just a bit in the background of this picture. Stampin' Up! is known for their quality products and attention to detail, and this facility is a perfect example of just that!

We had a bit of an adventure on the bus heading to the Home Office. At a stoplight, our bus changed lanes and then had to stop and back up just a little bit when the light turned red. A little car behind us ran into the back of the bus! Neither vehicle was damaged, but we spent several minutes on the side of the road waiting for the police report. We were one of the last tours of the day, and so grateful we didn't miss out!

I will be back this evening with the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme this month is "Forever Friends". The hop starts tonight at 9 p.m Central, remaining up all day tomorrow, so be sure to come back to check it out and take the hop!

I am VERY EXCITED because today we get to see the NEW 2016/2017 ANNUAL CATALOG! squeeee! I won't be able to share anything with you until next week after the catalog goes live for all demonstrators worldwide, but I will be seeing, learning, and using new products over the next few days, so rest assured I will be sharing with you!

This is the LAST WEEK for the Weekly Deals, (sad face), but Stampin' Up! has given us a HUGE list of deals for the final hurrah!

Also, the 2016 Retiring List of Stamps and Accessories will be released on Monday, April 18. I will be posting it here on Monday!

Stampin' Up! Orlando Leadership Bound!

Hey there! I know I've been quiet for a few days, because I've been preparing my swaps for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Orlando Florida. We were scheduled to fly down yesterday afternoon, but I cam down with a tummy bug yesterday and we had to reschedule our flight. We return on Sunday. I'm looking forward to spending a few days in a warmer climate. Tonight we get to go to Disney for a few hours for Manager's Reception! yay!

I hope to get to post some new ideas while I'm there, but if not, you can be sure I will have LOTS to share after I get home!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Day Two!

Hey there! Oh my! Stampin' Up! really knows how to spoil their demonstrators! Thank you Stampin' Up! and my stampin' customer friends for making it possible for me to enjoy this retreat!

Thursday, September 18th was all about relaxing and being spoiled rotten by Stampin' Up!

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_5

I spent much of my day in the Gathering Place, relaxing and visiting with friends!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_gathering_place

Stampin' Up! decorated the Gathering Place to reflect the "Home for the Holidays" theme!

This is my friend Derek Christiansen. Derek & I go way back to the first Stampin' Up! Regional I ever attended. Derek & I have a special bond because he interviewed me on stage at the Kansas City Regional. It was his and my first appearance on stage for Stampin' Up! Derek is now runs all of the events for Stampin' Up!, but he always has time to chat with old friends!

Founder's Circle wouldn't be Founder's Circle without yummy treats:
Stampin_up_founders_circle_mug_of_love

Besides offering a vast array of yumminess for our tummies, each jar was beautifully decorated with adorable tags to inspire our creativity!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_holiday_cheer

Pretty much all the decor was accented with products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog! BTW: we get to keep the mug! yay!

The highlight of this day, of course, is the Business Share and Swap!

Stampin' Up! CEO and Co-Founder, Shelli Gardner, greeted us, then it was on to the Share and the Swap, all while wearing our jammies!

Here's all 113 of the swaps I created with the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and Star framelit dies:

Here are swaps I received in return:

Stampin_up_founders_circle_swaps

You will be getting to see these up-close in the next few weeks of Sunday Swap Days!

That's all for now! I will be sharing more Founder's Circle fun over the next few days, but be sure to come back tomorrow for Sunday Swap Day!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Day One!

Hey there. Let me start by stating how very sorry I am for my absence. My hard-drive collapse, coupled with final preparations to leave for the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat, and then the whirwind of travel, has left me with no opportunity to blog at all!

Here's my technology status:

  • New hard-drive for computer: CHECK
  • Windows 7 Installed until replacement Windows 8 disc arrives from HP: CHECK
  • Major bookmarks and log-ins re-established: CHECK
  • Pictures re-loaded from camera SD card: CHECK
  • LOOONG process of categorizing said pictures: BEGUN

Things are still not where I want them to be: I still have to re-create my Carol Payne Stamps watermark in Picmonkey, re-edit the three September Christmas Card Class videos and get them uploaded to Youtube, and get my back-up programs established so when (and there's always a when) this happens again it won't be quite so devastating.

That said, let me just say that so far the 2014 Founder's Circle Retreat has been all and more than I expected it to be! If you are my friend on Facebook or follow me on Instagram (if you want to follow me I'm instagrammy1959) you were able to see my progress across the country on Wednesday to first Las Vegas by plane and to St George, Utah by bus.

A couple of weeks ago I received this packet in the mail from Stampin'Up! containing my travel documents and info for the event:
Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_1
Inside were luggage tags, flight info, and an itinerary for each day:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_2

Arrival day itinerary:

Stampin_up_home_for_the_holidays_4

Here's my first glimpse of my home-away-from-home for the next few days;

Each Founder's Circle member has a WHOLE ROOM all their own! You just want to pinch yourself! Each year they decorate the doors with a special memento of the event:

Stampin_up_founders_circle_door_hanger

Shortly after our arrival we met in the Gathering Place to pick up our name badges, play a little Holiday Catalog Trivia game, receive a little welcome gift, then our first activity with our teams. I'm a Nutcracker!

Stampin_up_nutcrackers_2

Each team worked together to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house!

Stampin_up_founders_circle_nutcrackers 1

We then enjoyed a delicious and beautifully appointed "Holiday Welcome" meal:

Meal

Every day we receive gifts, culminating each night with "the pillow gift"! Here's my collection from just Day 1:

Day one gifts

The "lumps of COAL"-wrapped package contained a brand-new stamp set and framelits from next Spring's Occasions Catalog! Sweet!

That's all for now! I will be back tomorrow with more Founder's Circle fun!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin' Up! 2014 New Catalog Premiere is Tonight!

Hey there! I am SO EXCITED!!!!! Tonight is the Stampin' Up! New Catalog Premiere! Six of my downline and I are taking a road-tripl to Hazelwood, MO (about two hours from here) to attend this brand-new-never-before-held event!

Stampin' Up! is broadcasting the live Catalog Premiere from a theater in Long Beach, California to selected locations around the U.S. The closest theater for us here in Southern Illinois was over in Missouri, so of course we signed up!

We will each receive our own copy of the New 2014 Annual Catalog, watch the broadcast where we will learn about new products from the Catalog, and hopefully receive  a little extra SWAG (new catalog product) too!

At every Stampin' Up! event I attend with my downline, I always give them a little gift for attending. I know it takes effort to prepare for the trip and to  leave family on their own at home. I've been there, done that for the 11+ years I've been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, and so I want them to know how much I appreciate them:

(Stampin_up_star_stamper

I embellished empty wood-mount stamp boxes (which are available in packs of 4 for $6.95 in the Annual Catalog) with the black newsprint design from the Modern Medley Designer Paper pack (Modern Medley paper is retiring) and the logo that Stampin' Up! created to advertise the catalog premiere event.

Stampin_up_star_stamper_2

Patty Bennett, a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from California shared the logo on a Facebook group we are both members of. She had altered it slightly so I could insert each of my downlines' names! So cool! Thanks, Patty! I used a free online photo-editing website, www.picmonkey.com to insert the names.

Stampin_up_star (2)

After I added the names and printed them out on glossy brochure paper, I cut them out and adhered them to the black newsprint paper, which I had cut 11 1/4" x 8" so I could slide it under the clear plastic shield around the box. I then reduced the size of the photos so I could print them again and adhere them to the spine section of the paper. I was so pleased with the professional look! I added Champagne Glimmer paper stars that I punched with the star punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack.

Stampin_up_star (1)

After I created and filled the boxes I just needed to make one more thing for them, so I covered these mini legal-sized notepads (I took them to Staples and had them cut them in half) with the same Designer Series Paper and Basic Black cardstock. I used an exclusive demonstrator-only stamp set we received at Leadership this year, Star Stamper, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, to create the medallion on the front.

I'm sure some of my downline check my blog or see my posts on Facebook, so although I'm posting the outside of my gift, I'm not sharing whats INSIDE  so there will still be some surprises tonight!

That's all for now! Tomorrow I will be able to show you the front of the catalog, but not the inside. The catalog doesn't officially go "live" for customers until June 1st, so I can't show you the inside pages until then.

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
