Stampin' Up! Silhouette Scenes!

Hey there! Today I'm playing with the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper, but this time I'm using the Silhouette Scenes Bundle of stamps and dies that are together in the See A Silhouette Suite. This card came together very quickly!

This fabulous tree is the star of the show! I chose this gorgeous Blueberry Bushel design from the See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper to give the look of a night sky because I wanted to highlight the magnificent tree silhouette cut with a Sweet Silhouette die from Basic Black card stock.

Stampin_up_silhouette_scenes_carolpaynestamps1

I adhered the tree to the front with tiny dots of liquid glue. I only dotted the glue on the tips of the branches and the branch stems themselves. It would drive me bonkers to try to put a dot of glue on every leaf!

I stamped the greeting from Silhouette Scenes with black ink, then punched with the Darling Label Punch.

Stampin_up_silhouette_scenes_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I stamped the couple from Silhouette Scenes with black ink, and used a sentiment from the Darling Label Punch Box stamps set, also in black ink. This couple reminds me so much of our soon-to-be bride & groom, Logan & Faith!

Stampin' Up! Praiseworthy Prose!

Hey there! I love the Hand-lettered Prose Dies! The word possibilities are endless!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps1

I cut the letters from Magnolia Lane Designer Paper.

I cut "hap" with one pass through the machine, then cut the "py". Easy!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps11

My first creation uses the negative of the letters:

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps7

I layered  Magnolia Lane over Petal Pink card base to make the letters "pop"!

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps8

I heat embossed the Well Said "ANNIVERSARY" with Shimmer Black Powder on a 3/4" strip of Petal Pink, adding a tiny bow from Bird Ballad Trinkets.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps9

Inside I used another Well Said phrase, adding a bloom from Magnolia Lane cut with a Magnolia Memory die. The heart is from Praiseworthy Prose, colored with a Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blend.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps10

My second card uses the positive letters popped up on a stamped Petal Pink layer with snippets of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the background layer with a Praiseworthy Prose "definition" phrase using Petal Pink ink. I found a Frosted Flower embellishment was the perfect color to match, then added a single rhinestone for sparkle.

Stampin_up_praiseworthy_prose_carolpaynestamps4

I stacked all of the sentiments from both cards on the inside.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Moments!

Hey there! Last weekend I made this adorable little wedding shower card with the Wonderful Moments stamp set and a Balmy Blue Scalloped Note Card and Envelope. This card came together very quickly!

Stampin_up_wonderful_moments_carolpaynestamps1

These Note Cards, which come in a pack of 20 with 5 each of Balmy Blue, Old Olive, light pink, and Terracotta Tile, are already scalloped along the bottom front edge, which means they are very elegant even before adding anything else. I stamped the bride and the greeting with Night of Navy ink on a Whisper White square, then added a mat with Silver Foil. The note cards are 5" long by 3 1/2" wide, and can be mailed through the Post Office! The inside of the note card is Whisper White.

Stampin_up_wonderful_moments_carolpaynestamps2

A length of about 14 inches of  Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle adds a frilly look. I love this stuff!

Stampin_up_wonderful_moments_carolpaynestamps3

The envelope flap is already scalloped. No other stamping or embellishment needed!

Stampin_up_wonderful_moments_carolpaynestamps4

This card is simple but elegant. You NEED a pack of these note cards for your quick-to-make-stash! Put item # 149610 on your next order in my online store! You'll be glad you did!

Stampin' Up! To A Wild Rose!

Hey there! In between VBS craft evenings, I've been working on invitations for a shower for my second son, Logan, and his fiance', Faith. The wedding is less than two months away, and I'm going shopping for my dress today, so wish me luck!

Today I'm sharing the front of the invitation with the Wild Rose stamp set:

Stampin_up_to_a_wild_rose_carolpaynestamps1

The back side of the invite will be printed on the computer.

I used Seaside Spray, a 2019/2020 In Color, with Night of Navy and Mint Macaron for my color palette.

Stampin_up_to_a_wild_rose_carolpaynestamps2

To A Wild Rose was on my list of "must order firsts"! The flower is a 3-step stamping process, but I chose to only use the outline and the middle flower layer to create the roses. I added Mint Macaron leaves to fill in between the blooms.

Stampin_up_to_a_wild_rose_carolpaynestamps7

Stampin_up_to_a_wild_rose_carolpaynestamps3

There are coordinating dies to cut out the flowers and leaves, but I didn't use them on this project. Instead, I used a Stitched Labels Die to highlight the "bride & groom" from the Well Written Dies. I adhered the words with a thin layer of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and used the Take Your Pick tool to add the tiny dot for the "i" in  bride.

Stampin' Up! To Have & To Hold!

Hey there! Last Saturday we attended the wedding shower for Grace, my soon-to-be-first daughter-in-law! After wrapping her gift in pretty Hallmark paper, I wanted to make a card to coordinate:
Stampin_up_to_have_and_to_hold_carolpaynestamps1
I used To Have & To Hold for the "Mr & Mrs" and "happiness fits you well", Climbing Roses for the "Sending Love", and Meant to Be for the "Meant to Be", all from the Occasions Catalog.

My color palette to coordinate with the wrapping paper: Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Whisper White, Balmy Blue, and Gold embossing.
Stampin_up_to_have_and_to_hold_carolpaynestamps2
I added Share What You Love Artisan Pearls for added elegance. The tiny Balmy Blue hearts are from the "Love You to Pieces" set.

Stampin_up_to_have_and_to_hold_carolpaynestamps6
Sunday I created this card to have for display with a subtle change: I heat embossed the Meant to Be heart with gold on a separate white scrap, cut it out with a Be Mine Framelit, then adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_to_have_and_to_hold_carolpaynestamps4
I like the heart cut out and popped up even better!

Stampin_up_to_have_and_to_hold_carolpaynestamps5
Inside I used another To Have & To Hold sentiment:

Stampin' Up! Up & Away Banner!

Hey there! When I posted the "MERRY Christmas"  banner on Saturday, I remembered I had another banner I had not yet shared with you. I created it for my oldest daughter's best friend's baby shower with the Up & Away Thinlets dies and some retired Stampin' Up! Designer Paper. I love that I can go back into my retired stash and find the perfect print for my crafting needs! It was a long banner with the phrase "Adventure Awaits" spelled out with Basic Black letters cut with the Large Letters Framelits.

Stampin_up_lift_me_up_banner_carolpaynestamps1-1

I used the same design for this banner as I did for the "MERRY Christmas" one I shared a few days ago. Each pennant is 3 1/2" x 6", then I hand-cut the banner points with my Paper Snips. I added a 3 3/4" 4" layer of either Mint Macaron, Coastal Cabana, or Blushing Bride to coordinate with the colors of the hot air balloon and to give the pennants some weight so they would hang straight. I folded the top of each pennant over and stapled them so the pennants are adjustable along the hanging string.

Stampin_up_lift_me_up_banner_for_sheila_carolpaynestamps3
This close-up of the balloon is actually from the card I made for the shower to go with her gift, but it's the same as the one I put on the banner.

Stampin_up_beautiful_bouquet_carolpaynestamps2

This banner was fun to make! I was reminded to post this because the baby was born Saturday evening and I received a picture on my phone yesterday morning! Mommy & baby are doing great!

Here's the link to the Christmas banner I posted a couple of days ago: https://www.carolpaynestamps.com/2018/12/stampin-up-winter-woods.html

Carol Payne Stamps First Frost for Troy & Grace!

Hey there! Last week my oldest son, Troy, proposed to his girl, Grace, and she said yes!

40301207_2013100398742475_2513046654072913920_n

I wanted to make them a congratulations card, so I pulled out the Frosted Floral Suite from the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_first_frost_carolpaynestamps

The colors are very subtle: Soft Seafoam, So Saffron, Highland Heather, and Whisper White. See the supplies listed below with clickable links to my online store for full details. I embossed a layer of Soft Seafoam with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions folder to adhere on top of the Soft Seafoam card base, then started adding the rest of the layers.

Stampin_up_first_frost_carolpaynestamps3
After stamping the roses with stamped-off Highland Heather and So Saffron and cutting out with Frosted Bouquet Framelits, I painted them with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for a soft, shimmery look.

The inside sentiment is from the Annual Catalog set, Better Together.

Stampin' Up! Serene Garden #2!

Hey there! Today I have another creation with the Serene Garden Bundle. This time I used the embossing plate from the Garden Scene Framelits to emboss the Whisper White Thick card base and colored the leaves, flowers, and butterfly with a Blender Pen and ink from Powder Pink and Soft Seafoam ink pads.

Stampin_up_embossed_serene_garden_carolpaynestamps1

The Garden Scene Framelits cut out the bird, flowers, and the butterfly Serene Garden images, and includes the embossing plate I used to emboss two opposite corners. I used the new Big Shot Embossing Mats to emboss with the plate. "Best Wishes from all of us" is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

Stampin_up_embossed_serene_garden_carolpaynestamps2

Inside I used a sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet, a carry-over set from the last catalog.

Stampin' Up! Abstract Impressions - I used the stencil on a card!

Hey there! While I was sponging through the stencil cut with a Springtime Impressions thinlet for the card I posted yesterday, I decided to use the sponged stencil on a card too!

Stampin_up_abstract_impressions_carolpaynestamps1

Balmy Blue is SUCH a PRETTY color! There's a hint of green in the ink that I don't really see in the card stock, it's almost like a light Island Indigo! After I used the stencil to sponge on the card I showed you yesterday, I applied liquid glue to the back of the stencil to adhere to this card.

Stampin_up_abstract_impressions_carolpaynestamps2

I heat-embossed the greeting with white powder, then added a Share What You Love embellishment with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_abstract_impressions_carolpaynestamps3

Before I adhered the sponged stencil to the front I used it like a stencil on the inside white layer.
