Stampin' Up! In With the New!
January 14, 2022
Hey there! It's Stampers Dozen Blog Hop time again! Our first theme for 2022 is "In With The New"! With 2022 just two weeks in, this could mean anything, but of course to the Stampers Dozen it means new products, new techniques, new ideas!
For my project this month I decided to combine a new-to-me stamp and die bundle, Encircled in Friendship from the Annual Catalog, with the Daffodil Afternoon 12 x 12 Designer Paper found in the Sale-a-bration brochure. You can choose Daffodil Afternoon as your free gift when you spend $50 this month with me!
For this Daffodil Afternoon print (both the plaid and the floral are on opposite sides of the same piece of paper) I used a Flirty Flamingo card base. I cut the 4" x 5 1/4" piece of DSP into two pieces, 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" and 2 1/4" x 5 1/4".
I used an Encircled in Beauty die to cut Very Vanilla, then stamped with a floral Encircled in Friendship image with Flirty Flamingo. I then stamped the Encircled in Friendship greeting with Tuxedo Black ink. I backed the vanilla die-cut with a Flirty Flamingo layer cut with a Layering Circle Die. After adding a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels it was ready to adhere to the Daffodil Afternoon layer with dimensionals.
Here's a close-up of the largest-size Iridescent Rhinestones. They take on the colors of whatever project you put them with!
Inside I stamped the same floral image (stamped-off once) with Flirty Flamingo ink, then stamped another sentiment from Encircled in Friendship with the same Tuxedo Black ink.
Now it's time to hop on over to the next blog to see what the rest of the Stampers Dozen has created this month!
