Stampin' Up! Masked Garden Wishes!
February 06, 2021
Hey there! I've been thinking about making today's card for awhile, and finally got time to play with this simple masking technique. I combined images from both the Garden Wishes and Dragonfly Garden stamp sets to create a simple, nearly flat card of thanks.
To create the mask I started with a 3" x 5" wide piece of copy paper. I tore across the top and the bottom to create slightly uneven edges. I put a tiny bit of adhesive on the back of the 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla layer, then adhered the edges that extended beyond the sides of the layer to the grid sheet underneath to hold it all in place while stamping.
Keeping the mask in place I stamped the images with Mossy Meadow ink. When the mask was removed this was the result!
I repeated the technique to stamp the bottom edge of the vanilla layer.
After removing the mask I stamped the greeting in the blank area, then wrapped the linen trim and tied in a bow before adhering to the card front.
Inside I used more images from Dragonfly Garden.
