Stampin' Up! Sunday Swap Day The Newborn King and a Park Lane Purse for Alisa!
October 26, 2014
Hey there! It's Sunday! Today our family is celebrating Alisa's birthday! yay!
Today's cards are made with The Newborn King set in the Holiday Catalog.
First, Phyllis Shepherd used Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Embossing Powder for her main image. She tied a bit of Linen Thread around a fold of Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon to dangle an All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment.
Next, Glenda Travelstead used the Spotlighting technique for the manger scene she beautifully colored and shaded. The punched circle of Champagne Glimmer paper is the perfect finishing touch!
Finally, Genevieve Ko used Back to Black Designer and Silver Glimmer Paper to highlight the Manger scene for a timeless-yet-contemporary look:
This year I have been trying to make a special one-of-a-kind card for each of my children and grandbabies for their birthday. Alisa loves to design and sew fabric purses, so here's my attempt to create a purse for her with my favorite crafting medium:
After I punched the Park Lane Designer Paper with the Postage Stamp Punch, I adhered them to my Blackberry Bliss base, then embossing with the Honeycomb folder. I colored the Very Vintage Designer Button with my Rich Razzleberry Blendability marker, then tied a bit of Gold 1/8" Ribbon through the holes before adhering with a glue dot.
Greeting and sentiment are easy-peasy with phrases from Petite Pairs!
Here's the main supplies for all the cards today. When you want to order, click on any of the product images or click here to go to my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
I played with the Gentle Peace photopolymer set yesterday, incorporating The Newborn King into some of them. Come back tomorrow for the first day of Gentle Peace Week!
That's all for now! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
