Stampin' Up! Fresh Prints and the Petite Petals Punch!
January 04, 2014
Hey there! Hope you are staying warm! They say it's going to start snowing again tonight, and snow until sometime tomorrow, with the possibility of 8-10 inches! Not as much as our last big storm in early December, but still a pretty big one for Southern Illinois! After the snow it's supposed to get even colder, with wind chills in the negative digits! I just hope this is all swept away before Linda & I travel over to St Louis to fly to Houston on Wednesday! eek!
I'm sure you didn't come see me to get a weather report, did ya? Nope, you want to see a card, don't you? Well, I've got a nice one for you today:
One of my hostesses for later this month, Cindy, was here on New Year's day for my class and picked out cards for her Stamp Camp (4 cards). The first three she picked we are doing exactly as they are, but the fourth one she asked me to combine two cards. Here's the two we combined:
First, she loved this layout by Ruth Anne Lilley. Ruth Anne used Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Whisper White with the Petite Petals stamps and Punch:
But, she had already fallen in love with another card using that color combo, so she asked me to use the layout from above with this color combo by Rhonda Bassler: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, and Real Red!
Here's my adaptation again:
I kept the same layout, rubbing the Decorative Dots (sale-a-bration) raised areas of the Crumb Cake with the Baked Brown Sugar inkpad. The Coastal Cabana cardstock is punched with the Postage Stamp Punch (#122344 $15.95). I punched the Fresh Prints and Real Red paper with the new Petite Petals Punch (#133322 $12.95), then off-set them with a Glue Dot in the middle. I colored the Basic Jewel Rhinestones with a red Sharpie marker before adding them to the flower centers.
I used Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim (#130024 $8.95), adhered firmly to the card with Sticky Strip. I scalloped the Real Red with the Scallop Edge Border Punch (#119882 $15.95)
In the lower right corner I stamped a greeting from the Simply Sketched Hostess set with Baked Brown Sugar ink.
And the inside:
The "always thinking of you" is from another favorite hostess set of mine, Express Youself!
That's all for now! I need to do just a bit of clean-up on my tables from last nights' class before the next group of stampers arrive in a few hours!
All of these products are available to order (with the exception of the Decorative Dots folder, which will be available with Sale-a-bration starts on January 28) from my Online Store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net
Until tomorrow, which is Sunday Swap Day, have a Stampingrox! day!
All products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2014
Thanks so much Carol! You are one of my biggest fans!

These are all fabulous! Love how you highlighted the bumps (or snow as I refer to them!) with the brown sugar....will definitely be putting my own spin on one or two of these....TFS!
