Good morning! It's cool and quiet here this morning, but it's supposed to heat up as the day goes on, so I will be firing up the ol' AC after awhile!

I'm relaxing just a little bit after my marathon week of workshops! I finished up at Katie's house last night. I love to stamp with that group of girls, they are so much fun!

Here's one of the cards we made at Dawn/Julia's workshop on Thursday. It's an adaptation of a couple of inspiration samples using my favorite new Hostess Set, Simply Sketched, I found by Lyssa Zwolanek:

An easy, fun little card. Dimensions are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side to create the little "z" fold.

We stamped just the front layer with the Woodgrain Background with Soft Suede ink on the Soft Suede card base before stamping the foliage branch with Early Espresso.

The bird is stamped with Early Espresso, then colored with a blender pen and ink from a Soft Suede inkpad and an Always Artichoke pad.

The edges of the bird layer are distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool before sponging with Soft Suede ink. After tearing the bottom of both layers and adhering together, it is attached to the card front with three Stampin' Dimensionals.
