Easy Events, Elegant Card!

The overall favorite card from my final Christmas Card Class this past weekend was this one using Easy Events. A complete CASE from Penny Thomas' Founder's Circle swap, it's easy, elegant, fairly flat, and would be a quick one to duplicate in mulitples for anyone's Christmas card! I apologize for this not being the best picture, photographing vanilla on a white background does tend to make it blow out:

Easy events 1

You still can see how lovely it is! I did creat the inside myself, as most Founder's Circle swaps do not have any insides stamped on them:

Here's a quick "Stampingrox!" supply list:

Stamps: Easy Events, Hand-Penned Holidays, Comfort & Joy

Cardstock: Very Vanilla

Ink: Staz-on Black, Real Red & Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers

Accessories: Big Shot, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Folder, Very Vanilla Velvet Stitched Ribbon, Basic Jewels Pearls, SNAIL adhesive

Pretty simple, but very lovely!

I'm off today to go with Jessica to her O.B. appointment. We only have a few more weeks until Jaxon makes his appearance! We can hardly wait! Then in the afternoon I get to Christmas shop with all three of my darling daughters! We try to go together at least once every year. It really helps to get things done when we all put our heads together!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

Merry Winter!

So sorry for such a late post today, but I've been working on a few things today, trying to clean up some of my loose ends from my last few classes, trying to get ready for a Ladies Friendship Circle Party here at my house on Thursday night (decorating, home improvement, etc), as well as getting ready for my final Vendor Fair of the year this coming Saturday. Throw in going with my daughter to her 37-week o.b. appointment tomorrow, Christmas Shopping with my girls tomorrow evening, my granddaughter Ava's school Christmas Program on Friday afternoon, and babysitting for all three grandkids on Friday night (my husband, "PaPa", and I "Grammy" will tag-team that event!) I'm not really sure how smooth the week will go!

I started playing around with some ideas this evening for my Big Shot Class this coming Monday the 12th and this is what I cam up with:

Merry winter snowflake ornament

I must say I am VERY pleased with it as it came out just exactly how I envisioned it in my head! All supplies used are Stampin' Up!, and with the exception of the silver cording, which is retired (sigh), all current and available to order!

Let me know if you would be interested in a kit for these. I might be persuaded!

If you want to come to my class, it is next Monday, December 12th, at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. No afternoon class this month. The class is FREE to anyone who RSVP's to me by Sunday, December 11th. I will have some fun ordering specials only available on the 13th, so hope to see you here at my house!

I've got to run, it's getting late and I have a BIG mess to clean up on my creative area before I go to bed, so I hope your day "Stampingroxed!"

Occasions Mini 2012 Sneek Peek from Founder's Circle!

Founder's Circle always provides us with the cutest Make & Takes! I love to get a chance to work on them during my free time. What Stampin' Up! Demonstrator wouldn't love it when someone ELSE is prepping the fun?!

This banner uses some cool "sneak peek" products from the soon-to-be-released Occasions 2012 Mini Catalog! If you have ordered from me in the past year, you should be receiving one of these in the mail near the end of December. If you don't, and it can happen, as they are shipped out Bulk Mail, then contact or see me at one of my future Stampin' Events and I will make sure you get one!

This banner uses the new "Paper Doily" Large Sizzlet Die! All I can say is, "it's simply gorgeous"! The teacup in the center of the Daffodil Delight one is from a new stamp set, "Tea Shoppe"! So sweet!

Here's another section of the banner, this time using another "Tea Shoppe" stamp, a super-big teacup, scalloped circles, and one of the doilies cut from one of the laser-cut pages from the "Flirtatious" Specialty Designer Paper pack!

That's all for today, but I'll be back again tomorrow! Until then, hope your day "Stampingrox"!

Final two Simply Scoring swaps!

Cindy Ewertz use the Scoring Tool on the diagonal to add the scoring interest on this card. She also spent some time with her Paper Snips, snipping away to make the precise cuts necessary for the flower center! WOW! I don't believe I would have the patience to make 21 of these, but it's beautiful!

Cindy Ewertz

And alas, the final swap this month has NO NAME! What a shame, as it is a swap I would be proud to put my name on! "Delicate Doilies" stamped in Island Indigo on Whisper White, sponged with Pool Party, and layered on Island Indigo and Pool Party. GREAT CARD! Would be a good "workshop WOW" technique! I especially love the little hanging heart accent!

No name 1

OK, you've seen all my November swaps, so get ready for some fun tomorrow!

Until then, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

A few more swaps!

Just a couple more days, and you will have seen all my swaps from November! THEN I have some fun surprises for you, so keep watching!

This first one is an elegant "faux tile" sample using "Creative Elements" by Brenda Hukriede. Crumb Cake has become such popular neutral, I love having this option besides white and vanilla! The sentiment is from "Delightful Dozen".

This next one is a very masculine one using the "In Wilderness" stamp set and "Well Worn" Designer Paper. Katy Simecka is the creator of this one!

Sharon House scored Vellum cardstock with the Simply Scoring Tool to achieve this formal, elegant look! She stamped the "love" with the label stamp from "You are Loved" and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. The addition of the brads from the Neutrals Brads Collection and the Victoria Crochet Trim are the pefect finishing touches!

That's all for today! I will be back tomorrow with the final set of November Simply Scoring Tool Swaps!

Have a "Stampingrox!" day!

December 1st means Christmas REALLY IS coming!

Good morning Stampers! Happy December 1st! Does reality set in for you on this day every year? It does for me.This is the day when I realize I REALLY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until today I can be more relaxed about it all and work on Christmas when it is convenient, but from today on, Christmas becomes my focus! As a lot of you know, I have a large family; 6 kids-three married daughters and 3 and more-than-a-half grandchildren! My husband comes from a large family too; he is one of 8, and this is the year they all come home for Christmas!

With that said, I now have all of you to help me stay accountable for keeping my focus on the Christmas Holidays and everything that needs to be ready before they start!

In case you need more inspiration for Christmas, today I am sharing an adorable owl card we made at the West Frankfort class earlier this week:

Owl 1

Riding Hood red is the card base color, which as been stamped with Riding Hood Red snowflakes and sponged with Whisper White Craft ink and a sponge dauber.

This was a quick, 2 card class, so we dispensed with building the owl's eyes, (which are included in the Owl Builder Punch), and added google-eyes with Mini Glue Dots. If I had it to do over again I would white emboss the "Christmas Greetings" on the front, but oh well, sometimes you just have to go the easy route and let yourself off the hook!

Gotta go now, and get crackin' on that "to do" list!

Until tomorrrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day
