Stamp Camp Tomorrow in Marion!

I just finished TWELVE cards for a stamp camp I am doing in Marion tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. I have been working on these cards ALL WEEK while I have been snowed/sleeted in! It's been great, except I had to move most of my stamping downstairs to the kitchen table, it was TOO COLD up in my stamp room. I have a little heater up there, but it couldn't keep up, so I stamped most of the time downstairs, which makes a big mess, but hey, no one was coming to my house because of the snow, so who cares? It also gave me a chance to clean up my stamp room today since it finally warmed up some (but hasn't melted the 7+ inches of snow/sleet on the ground! At least we can be thankful we have power (and our woodstove!)

Anyway, on to the stamping! As I said, these are for a camp I'm doing in Marion tomorrow, so if you would like to come, feel free to give me a call for directions! The camp is a Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack, and we are making these 12 cards for $20!

First a card using the new "GAME NIGHT":

"Bugs & Kisses"! I used the new Texturz Impressions "Harlequin" Plate for the Green Galore background!

I bent the "just buzzin' by to say. . " pennant, then anchored at each end with mini-glue dots, and built up the middle with Stampin' dimensionals:

Of course, my first order from the NEW CATALOG came (a day late, and even then my hubby had to drive to Bonnie to meet the UPS man, as he wouldn't drive over my railroad crossing driveway!) I am SO excited to get this order! This is the BEST CATALOG WE HAVE EVER HAD! I can't wait to play with my new stuff!! The Texturz Plates were part of this order, as well as new stamps, dies for the Big Shot, new ribbon, Designer Paper, and embellishments!

Ok, now back to the stamping! Here;s a card made with "A Good Friend", which I received as part of my Make-n-Take at Leadership in Orlando, Florida earlier this month! I just love this cute little birdie, and I received the coordinating set, "Cheep Talk" in my first order! BTW, that's a Filigree Brad in the center of the word "good"!

Fifth Avenue Floral & Lots of Tags!

Birthday wishes

©Stampin' Up!™1990-2009 I am so excited tonight! I haven't received my big NEW catalog order yet, but I did receive my Open House order and I received the SU! exclusive Lots of Tags Sizzlet dies as part of my Hostess Benefits. I tried it out tonight with this card, stamped with Fifth Avenue Floral, a set I received FREE at Leadership in a drawing, and it turned out SO CUTE! I ran Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot to make the curly-qued tag, then ran Not Quite Navy through with the same tag. I then cut out the center of the Not Quite Navy tag with my snips and layered it over the Whisper White tag that I had stamped with "birthday wishes" from the "Garden Greetings" set I received at Manager's Reception during Leadership earlier this month. I love the fonts of the words in this set, they look so formal and old-timey. They go perfect with the old-timey look of the layered tag! This card is for a Stamp-a-Stack of Birthday cards I'm doing on Saturday in Marion, Illinois!

(I'm sorry I don't have my logo on my picture tonight, I've only done it once and with my laptop, which I am not on right now, and of course I've forgotten what I learned last Friday!)

I have a new logo!

I am very excited because I finally have a logo to put on my blog pictures! I have been wanting one for a long time, and I KNEW my daughter, Jessica, could make me one, but we just hadn't gotten around to it until today. I have been spending at least one day a week at Jessica's since the new year started, helping her with her bookkeeping for her business (who would ever think that I would be anyone's "bookkeeper"? (I don't even keep my books well, ask my hubby at tax time!)But anyway, I'm here today and we made my logo! This card is one we made at my "It's All About Birthdays" Stamp-a-Stack on Jan 3rd, and then I made a one-layer version for one of my Leadership swaps, and I still  love this card! I love the "So Swirly" jumbo wheel in the background, I use it every chance I get! This picture is a little blown-out, and Jessica says I could correct it if I did it in PhotoShop, but that's learning for another day!

I have several new things to show you, and the Spring/Summer 2009 catalog started this past Monday (I am waiting for my order of new stamps and accessories to arrive, as patiently as I can, but now I wish I had paid expedited shipping because I don't think I will have it until late next week! AHHH!)

But I DO have a bunch of cute stuff from my Leadership swaps and M&T's, and if you haven't been to one of my events or to my Open House you are in for a real treat!

I will be here most of the day and am staying for an "Usborne Books" party Jessica is having tonight, but hopefully I will be back later to show you some more cute stuff!
