Stampin' Up! Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop Inspired By Project Life!

GV Blog Header

Hey there and welcome to the October Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop! This month's theme is "Inspired by Project Life".  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects shared here by Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from across the globe!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.
It just happened that my project for today is one I created for a sweet couple at my church having their first baby, a boy named Carson. They are a farm family, very into John Deere tractors, so I created the gift packaging, and a large portion of the gift, with a "John Deere Green" theme!
Stampin_up_project_life_baby_boy_1
I used punch art for the tractor on the gift bag, 50+ thank-you notes, and the Kraft 6"x8" Project Life Album!
Stampin_up_project_life_3
Every new mother needs thank-you notes! I kept these simple so I could make a bunch! The "ground" is a 1/4" wide strip of Kraft 12" x 12" Corrugated Paper that I added to the bottom of the Whisper White Note Cards.
Here's tutorial to make the tractor. Click to download:

I translated the tiny tractor into a larger size for the gift bag and the album cover. I cut Carson's name with Big Shot Little Letters Thinlets.

This new mommy also teaches 4th grade so I knew she wouldn't have time to attempt "traditional" scrap booking, but I gave her a Project Life Album all ready to go, and she is eager to give it a try!
I included:
139655SKraft 6" x 8" Project Life Album # 139655 $10.00
135297S 6" x 8" Variety Pack Project Life Photo Pocket Pages #135297 $6.00
135874S6" x 8" Project Life Envelope Pages #135874 $5.00
138457SHello Baby Boy Card Collection #138457 $16.00
138458SHello Baby Accessory Pack #138458 $10.00
I also included a pack of  Project Life 3" x 4" Grid Cards #136528 $3.50 and Project Life Journaling Pens #135304 $5.00.
Carson's mommy is SO EXCITED to give Project Life a try! I refer to it as "scrap booking with baseball cards", it's that easy!
There are several themes of Project Life cards and accessories available from Stampin' Up! Check them out and order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin'Up! Gingham Garden Suite Scrapbook Pages from Fiji!

Good morning! I'm back today with the scrapbook pages that were showcased on the Gingham Garden Suite inspiration board in Fiji!

Page 1

Gingham Garden Designer Paper and Washi Tape combine with lots of white space and Kind & Cozy stamp set for the one above!

Page 2

Even more white space for this one, but splatter stamping with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set fills in nicely. Little banners of Gingham Garden paper and Washi Tape accents add interst without taking away from the picture focals.

Page 2 one

A close-up of the added embellishments feature a Silver Glimmer Paper "2" cut with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies, some fussy-cut Gingham Garden paper, and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button.

Page 2 two
The gingham-ring stamp from Kind & Cozy makes the perfect mat layer for this cute little inset picture, embellished with a Silver Glimmer Paper ampersand, also from the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. "you" is also a Melon Mambo Stampin' Write Marker partially-inked stamp from Kind & Cozy.

Well, that's all of the Gingham Garden Suite samples. There are no more! Tomorrow I will start a series of my June monthly swaps!

Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin'Up! Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Cards Part 4!

Good morning! Today is a Liam day, so I will be out the door here in a few. Just wanted to show you the final two cards from my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class this past weekend!

Note: Products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013 unless otherwise noted
Card 7 a
With this card I used the "triple-time" technique, but instead of stamping, I used the designer paper in the Kit!

Dimensions for Triple Time with Designer Paper:

Card layer: 4 ¼” x 11, scored at 5 ½”

First layer of Designer Paper: 4” x 5 ¼”

Second layer of cardstock: 4 ¼” x 3 ½”

Third layer of Designer Paper: 4” x 3 ¼”

Fourth layer of cardstock: 2 ¾” x 3 ¾”

Fifth layer of Designer Paper: 2 ½” x 3 ½”

Sixth layer of cardstock: 2” x 2 ¾”

7th layer (can be cardstock, Designer Paper, or on this sample a self-adhesive die-cut): 1 ¾” x 2 ½”

Tip #2:  Use Stamp-a-majig and Vellum sheet to stamp “Oh, Hello” between the printed flowers on the self-adhesive die-cut”

Card 7 b

Beautiful Birthday with some Bitty Butterflies, Basic Jewel Rhinestones, and a 7/8" Scallop Circle Flower the inside says it all for this card!

Card 8 a
For my final class card I combined my favorite "happy birthday" greeting EVER from You're Amazing with the Blossom Punch and a few of the self-adhesive die-cuts in the kit. After stamping the greeting and punching with the punch I then embossed the Whisper White layer with the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Card 8 b

That's all for now! I'm off to Liam's! Yay!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin'Up! Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Cards Part 2!

Happy Sunday Morning to you! Just wanted to take the time to show you up close the next couple of cards we made this weekend at my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class!

Note: All images ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Card 5 a

This card was inspired by Barb Mullikin, I just changed the greeting and added a bit more bling! This card uses the fun Dress Up Framelits with the Big Shot to cut the dress and the dress form. See her little
"camisole" at her neckline? That's a bit of Daffodil Delight cardstock punched with the Small Heart Punch!

Card 5 b

My second card isn't CASED from anyone, but I really like it with the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Folder embossing the Garden Green card base!

Card 1 a

The self-adhesive die-cuts that are the three flowers popped up on dimensionalas really pop with the addition of the a bit of White Gel Pen in their center!

I really had fun with this kit! Come back tomorrow and wee what else I have created with it!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin'Up! Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Cards!

Good morning! Yesterday I had my Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' Kit Card Class, inspired by a Control Freak's Blog Hop I took a month or so ago. These cards are so bright and pretty with the colors of Regal Rose, Garden Green, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight, they really pop! Alas, the Regal Rose color is retiring, so when this kit retires at the end of May, this specific color combo will be gone forever!

Thought I would show you a card or two up close every day (there are 8 total). For starters, here's the groups of them all together (I couldn't fit all 8 of them in the same picture)

Cards 1

Note: all images used ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Cards 2

First, is my CASE of a Dawn Olchefske creation, I added the bling and the butterflies with the Bitty Butterfly punch. The stripes at the top are the opposite side of the floral side at the bottom.

Card 3 a

I'm lovin' using the Make a Wish stamp set right now! I hope it carries over into the new catalog, which will be making its' debut on June 1st!

Card 3 b

This card uses a very similar layout, but I used words and images from Thoughts & Prayers.

Card 2 a

The floral spray image from this set is perfect for using Stampin' Write Markers to color it!

Card 2 b

That's all for now! Come back and see me tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

I LOVE how so many of the products in the Stampin' Up! catlogs coordinate together, even when they are not issued at the same time!

That's it for today! Enjoy your Monday. I'll be back tomorrow with more samples to share.

Stampin'Up! Summer Scrapbooking!

I'm doing a "Summer Vacation Memories" Scrapbook class on Tuesday, June 5th, 1 - 3 p.m. at the GrandOArt Studio in West Frankfort! Call Dayna Melvin to register: 923-0263!

Here's the cover page for the 8 1/2" x 11" binder we will be starting that day. I used the "Mouthwatering" stamp set for the watermelons, which was in the Occasions Mini catalog but has made it into the New Annual Catalog!

My summer 1

Well, I'd better hurry off, lots to do to get ready for my "New Catalog Crazy Day" Open House on Friday! Be sure to let me know by Wednesday if you can come!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin' Up! Scrapbooking the Payne Clan!

Here's another page I'm particularly happy with, it's our 2008 family picture! This one never made it to a big canvas on my wall, but I love it just the same! This was taken with a timer on Alisa's birthday in 2008. She and Cody were already engaged to be married the following June, and we were in the early stages of wedding preparations! I used a now retired product, "Sticky Cuts" on this page for the "love", along with one of the glitter stacks that I think is retired now too.

I also broke my rule about journaling in my own handwriting, but I had a lot to say on this page, so I will forgive myself this once! ha!

Speaking of retired products, Stampin' Up! will be releasing the next Retiring Stamp List on April 15, and the Retiring Acessories List on April 25!

I stayed up late last night working on baby shower invitations for Kimberly. Her shower is May 6. When they are  complete (and I am excited to show them to you as they are adorable!) I will show them to you, but for now have a "Stampingrox!" Day!
